Winnipeg Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy was founded in September 2024 as a non-profit, parent-run organization to provide rhythmic gymnastics training in a positive environment where all members are supported and encouraged. We currently operate out of the University of Manitoba and Whyte Ridge Community Center.

Our Story
WRGA was founded in response to a need to provide elite, personalized training in September 2024. Alexandra Yarema was hired as our head coach and oversees all training and personally designed our exclusive training program.
Our Vision
WRGA is a not for profit club. Our main focus is providing our athletes with the finest training and coaching in Manitoba. We reinvest all profits into WRGA and our athletes.
This club is founded on the principles of athletic excellence, honesty, integrity and commitment. We wish for our athletes to grow in confidence as they each discover their own unique physical and creative abilities. We will strive to help each athlete reach their personal bests, providing them with one on one coaching, and a safe, encouraging environment.
We adhere to a zero tolerance policy regarding disparaging judges, clubs, athletes and coaches. We ask that parents, athletes and coaches strive to be the best example they can be to other athletes in this sport, other clubs and spectators.
Team WRGA
Alexandra Yarema
Coach Alex is our head coach and responsible for program and athlete development. She is not only our Coach, but a gymnast herself. She is integral to our athletes progress and achievements. We are so proud to say Coach Alex is Team WRGA!
Kristin Riley
Kristin is the co-founder of WRGA. Kristin is also a WRGA parent to one of our National Stream athletes. Kristin oversees the day to day tasks of running WRGA and is excited to see what's ahead for our athletes this year.
Our Coach
Coach Alex is not only our Coach, but also a competitive gymnast. She is a Certified Competition 1 Coach, Certified Competition 2, and a Nationally Certified Judge. Alex is a Canadian National Champion, Western National Champion, and Provincial Champion. She was also on the Senior High Performance Team and achieved a spot on the Canadian National Team before her retirement in 2021.
